STORIES: Stories change systems

Statistics inform. Stories move. This is where the Foundation shares the voices at the centre of everything we do: people with lived experience, family carers, artists, and Kashia herself.

Categories:

  • Lived Experience: First-person stories, shared safely and on the storyteller's terms

  • Kashia's Music & Art: Her songs, her paintings, and the projects carrying them forward

  • From Our Programs: Mana Collective showcases, exhibition features, book launches

  • Foundation News: Announcements, media releases, reform updates

Share your story

Lived experience is the foundation of our advocacy and your story belongs to you.
If you'd like to share your experience of mental illness, caring, or navigating the system, we'll work with you to tell it safely: you control what's shared, you review before anything is published, and you can withdraw your story at any time. Our full commitments are set out in our

PARTNER WITH US

There is a place for you in this work

Systemic change is not built alone. The Foundation partners with corporates, galleries, venues, universities, health services and community organisations that share our belief: people living with severe mental illness deserve better systems, better tools, and a better public story.

Ways to partner

Concert Tour partners: Present a city stop for the “Songs for Kashia” tour, host corporate tables, or contribute to the silent auction. Your brand, beside a night people remember.

Symposium sponsors: Put your organisation's name behind the sector's annual moment of accountability. Sponsorship tiers cover keynotes, sessions, the Symposium Award and the Songs for Kashia concert.

Kia book sponsors: Fund a print run and put books directly into schools, children's hospitals and GP waiting rooms with acknowledgement in every sponsored edition.

Program partners: Support the “Mana Collective”, the “Kia Exhibition,” or "Moving Through" through funding, venues, equipment or expertise.

In-kind & skilled support: Venues, production, printing, legal, marketing, technology: capability is as valuable as funds.

VOLUNTEER. Give your time. Lend your skill.

The Foundation runs on people who care. Whether you have an evening, a weekend, or a professional skill to share, there's a way to help.

Event volunteering: Front of house, merchandise, auction support and artist liaison at concerts, exhibitions and the Symposium.

Skilled volunteering: Marketing and design, legal, accounting, IT, event production, grant writing, clinical and research advisory.

Community champions: Help distribute Kia books, share our campaigns, and bring the Foundation's work to your school, workplace or community group.

All volunteers working with children or vulnerable people require a valid Working with Children Check and complete our safeguarding induction.
